• Writing / Enhancing the code using Java, J2EE

• Writing clean, scalable code using Core Java programming languages, JSP, Servlets etc.

• Conducting code reviews

• Writing SQL queries

• Translating the business tasks into programming terms, defining the needed tools and technologies to perform the task

• Managing all aspects of design, development, testing and code deployment

• Investigating and fixing bugs that are identified

• Reporting any problems as soon as they arise

• Following change management process, version control

• Participating in the review meetings with customer and internal teams

• Establishing and maintaining good relationships with all stakeholders

• Knowledge of the HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Javascript is a must

• Knowledge of the Java 7, J2EE – JDBC, JSP, Servlets, EJB etc.

• Knowledge of Linux OS commands and Putty

• Any database SQL knowledge, DML & DDL operations (Tables, Procedures, Queries, Triggers - Postgres is preferred

• Building web applications using Core Java, JDBC, JSP, Servlets etc.

• Exceptional Programming skills with strong fundamentals in Object Oriented Programming

• Understanding of Apache Tomcat & Deployment of Web Projects is a must

• Manage Tomcat configurations for the various environments

• MVC experience

• Experienced in using version code software, and project management / issue tracking tools will have added advantage

• Good knowledge on SOAP & REST APIs will be preferred

• Knowledge of SSL/TLS
