Multiple functions within an organization require different functional point applications which generate independent data in their own styles. A Datawarehouse extracts data from multiple databases, transforms the data into a uniform meta data, loads this transformed data into the data warehouse as per predefined logic and then creates multidimensional data cubes. These cubes can then be queried for complex reporting and dashboard views for empowering people to take information based decisions.
